Thank you all so much for making the trip to Chattanooga and playing in the rain with us (did anyone notice the rain??).  I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, perhaps that was partly due to the fact that I had a washer and dryer waiting at home to take care of my damp belongings, but mostly it was due to the ever-present vision of all your smiling faces hidden beneath the mud, and due to the delightful sounds of heated competition entangled with laughter.  God, it was a great weekend!  And, how about that band at the party?  I'm already wondering how we'll one-up that next year...

Congratulations to Tanasi, er Hit Squad, for their hard-fought victory over Tickle Me Whisky which put them in the semifinals against Shawni Gras and eventually in the finals against Helmar who narrowly escaped Alzhammers.  The Open Finals, if you weren't there, was a muddy muddy game.  I wish I could remember details to share with you, but I cannot - I was too caught up in the game itself to pay attention...  But, I do remember that Helmar led nearly the entire game until the end, when Hit Squad dug deep and found the magic that allowed them to catch up to and move beyond Helmar to win the game, 16-14.  

Congratulations to Flo for taking the Women's Division by storm.  I was unable to watch any of the women's games, to my continued dismay, but I'm certain that they were all wet behind the ears.

Congratulations to Ya'll for taking the Open Division Consolation Championship Trophy/Boat Anchor.  Ole Tom always walks away from Nooga with a prize!  Lucky kid...

Last of all, but most importantly, congratulations to the SRA Allstars for earning the Spirit Award!  The Spirit Award is the most prestigious and coveted award at our tourney.  Those guys, and girl, ROCK!
